About Like Magick Restoration
My Experience
My husband and I were living in Southern California when the Northridge Earthquake in 1994 hit. My uncle, an appraiser, owned and operated an import/export business that offered restoration. He was swamped with work and asked if I could help. Knowing that I had experience in a lot of art forms, he thought I could be of assistance. After a few weeks he and I both realized that I had found my niche. Over the next 6 years working for him, I repaired thousands of Lladros, Hummels, Capodimonte, Dresden, and many more objects of art. I made a name for myself and continued to astonish customers who never thought they would see their cherished memento restored to its original condition. We moved back to my hometown in Maryland and started a family in 1999. Now we are settled and continue raising and homeschooling our family (five lovely and talented children) in beautiful and historic Charles Town, West Virginia.
I created a name for my business using the most frequent phrase customers would say when they received their restored treasures back: "Wow! It's like magic!"
